To accompany the festivities of Bialik’s 70th Anniversary Celebration Day and commemorative exhibition, a brochure was commissioned to present a snapshot of the school’s dynamic history.
Once I was presented with the stash of evocative archival photography, the design direction became crystal clear.
I found one of my mother’s old photo albums from the 60s and scanned it’s yellow, weathered pages. I then assembled the selected photos, together with the torn newspaper elements, and presented the whole brochure as if it was an archival photo album. There was great attention to detail, even down to the faux ink smudges accompanying some of the faux hand written photo inscriptions.
