Having worked on a bunch of Callaway projects for Quattro Group, my ears must have automatically pricked up when I randomly heard the words, “designated driver”.
I instinctively knew that this simple phrase would make for a nifty ad headline for the Big Bertha Diablo, which is Callaway’s biggest selling golf driver.
Using the language of cars and the way that they handle made for a compelling and creative way to talk about the benefits associated with this precision golf club.
There was also the notion of the “designated driver” being the trustworthy ally that will steer you in the right direction.
As this was all about the headline and copy I co-opted one of Callaway’s existing hero images of the Big Bertha Diablo for the purpose of mocking it up.
