In addition to designing the suite of graphic materials for this iteration of the Celluloid Soup film festival, I wrote and co-directed the festival trailer as well as creating the soundtrack that accompanied it.
The soundtrack was a lithe, electro interpretation of the classic celebratory song that has been sung across generations at Jewish weddings once the groom has broken the ceremonial glass.
So in other words, it was a tune that would have been instantly recognisable to the majority of the audience – although they would have never heard it quite like this.
This locked into the visual of the orthodox Jewish dude bobbing on the spot as he listened to the music with his white Apple ear buds. A collision of worlds. The festival’s theme, The Wandering Jew, personified.
