This was a huge campaign that involved the development of everything from a TVC, to outdoor posters, to the design of the ticketing.
And in my dual capacity as both art director and graphic designer at Spinach Advertising, I pretty much designed it all.
While I was ever hopeful that my ‘Swinger’s Convention’ concept would be given the green light, I was still pretty excited that we managed to sell-in the ‘Masters of Swing’ positioning regardless.
It was also a particular kind of thrill seeing the billboards looming around town, knowing that I’d produced much of the artwork, after hours, in the tiny bedroom of my cosy little East St.Kilda apartment.
