What’s more exciting than designing a poster for one of your favourite bands? Designing one for three of them :p
In this case, Melbourne pop/jazz stalwart, Simon Starr, from super group, The National Living Treasures, approached me to design a poster for their upcoming EP launch. Supported by leviathan local acts, Husky and Tin Pan Orange, I chose to represent each band by illustrating silouhettes of their most iconic instruments. Luckily I had a Fender Jazz Bass, Maton semi-acoustic, and a Fender Stratocaster in my own arsenal of instruments, so was able to photograph them before manually contouring them so as to create the flat, paper-cut effect.
