Notwithstanding the fact that this was entirely self funded – so sans budget – Pythons and High Heel Shoes was my first serious attempt at making a music film clip.
Co-directed with the über talented Ryan Spanger from Dream Engine, it was put together for the Celluloid Soup Jewish Short Film Festival, where it placed as one of that year’s finalists. This wasn’t too shabby a result for a first time effort.
It was also the first filmic outing for my alter-ego, Rabbi Pansteyn, elder statesman and front man of Jewish fun-times band, Schnorer.
The song told the tale of a congregant’s dismay when he discovers that the good rabbi has been getting busy with the bacon.
