When my music filmclip, Springvale, won the Celluloid Soup Melbourne Jewish Short Film Festival, it generated media interest that went well beyond the local Jewish community.
From being interviewed on Triple J, where the track was featured as Religious Song Of The Week, on John Safran’s iconic radio show, Sunday Night Safran; to being interviewed and photographed by the Springvale Leader, it was an incredible result given that the clip was a completely solo effort which could have just as easily disappeared into the void without so much as a headstone.
