It’s rare that one gets to work across a truly broad swathe of disciplines for the one client. In the case of The Brighton Savoy however, I’ve had the privilege of designing everything from their identity, signage, brochures, advertising and more.
In the midst of all this, they also commissioned me to take some hero photography of their newly renovated hotel exterior which was to feature on their website homepage.
I shot all day, from dawn to dusk, as I was committed to getting the perfect light, on a not so perfect day.
Add into that the fact that the boulevard is usually packed with fast moving traffic and my work was really cut out for me.
This was also a feat of post-production as I had to retouch the images so as to carefully remove the telegraph poles and dangling electrical lines which created a lot of visual ‘white noise’.
